Worship Arts

At Heritage Church, we honor the ancient traditions of our faith while seeking to remain relevant to our current time and culture.

We do this by offering distinctive opportunties to express our worship:

The Awakening Worship Service

8:05 AM on Sunday Mornings

We seek to create an atmosphere of freedom in worship as it is described in Scripture. We want to do it “like David did”….by clapping and raising our hands, by lifting up a shout, by bowing in reverence and silence, by praising Him on the drums, and stringed instruments, and with the dance! We seek to minister to those in need by the laying on of hands, and we ask the Holy Spirit to empower us to do so. We anticipate His presence in our services to radically transform our lives so that we can become “the church of God’s dreams”! And in everything we do, we celebrate Jesus as the Risen Son of God and the soon coming King!

The Traditional Worship Service

9:30 AM on Sunday Mornings

The sound of the majestic organ calls the family of God together and focuses our hearts towards worship. Acolytes remind us of the presence of the Holy Spirit by lighting candles on the altar. We affirm our faith by reciting the ancient Creeds of the Church...we join our voices in singing traditional and modern hymns that glorify God. We honor the Word of God and receive its instruction to guide our lives. We pray prayers of faith knowing that God hears and answers.

The Contemporary Worship Service

11AM on Sunday Mornings

Opportunities for Service in Worship Arts

Sanctuary Choir

"The two choirs that gave thanks then took their places in the house of God; so did I…”Nehemiah 12:40 Did you know that singing in the choir is one of the most Biblical forms of corporate worship? While it may seem to be a current “trend” to do away with choir, we affirm its relevancy and importance in the house of the Lord!

Handbell Choir

Our church is equipped with a beautiful 5 octave set and handchimes: and we love ringing them for the glory of God! Our weekly rehearsals provide an opportunity for training as well as fellowship and fun. New members are always welcome!

Contemporary Praise Team

It’s not just about singing and playing the current “Top 25” worship songs, it’s about being called, trained and anointed to usher in the presence of the Living God. It’s about offering your skills as a musician or singer to reach our community and beyond for Jesus!

Drama & Dance

Lights, camera, action! Our Worship Arts Pastor has also been a professional actor, director, and producer, and has a big desire to reach out to our community by presenting wholesome entertainment with a positive message. Our recent productions include The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Christ Our Passover, and Narnia the Musical.
