To Love & To Lead: Staff Discussions

Many people tend to fear seasons of change, but I don’t fit into that norm. Many things have been changing for me and my family over the past year. Our son, Colt got married to Victoria and moved to Kansas. Now, this August, our daughter Jennifer will also be moving to Kansas to attend Pittsburg State University pursuing a major in nursing.

Most parents see this as a bad season of change because their kids are leaving them. Now don’t get me wrong I will miss seeing my kids every day, but I’m so excited to see what they’re going to accomplish. These are the times in your life where your faith grows. You learn to trust in God a lot more, trusting in Him and knowing He is keeping our kids safe and in His arms. This season of change will be hard at times but the outcome is where the blessing comes, especially for our daughter in her schooling. It’ll be in the middle of going through those four years where her faith in God will come into play. College isn’t easy and she’ll have to persevere and with Christ on her side nothing is impossible. I am excited for this season of change and I can’t wait to see where the Lord is taking our family.

Peace & Blessings
