My Mom Taught Me...

how to flip a cake out of a Bundt pan
how to draw a hopscotch board
how to fold a fitted sheet
the importance of saying “thank-you”
how to handle money in order to be generous
how to wrap a present
that mealtime around the table is important
to always unplug the hand mixer before removing the beaters
how to be comfortable visiting people in a nursing home
how to remain steady when the world is going crazy

And even more importantly, my mom taught me…
to memorize Scripture, the source of Truth
that virtually any Bible verse can be sung (she put it to practice daily)
to never take a vacation from church
to trust that Jesus will always take care of me

Thank you, Mom.  And thank you, our Father in Heaven, for the wonderful moms, grandmothers, and mother figures who have taught all of us so much.

See you in Church Sunday as we worship the ultimate teacher and giver of good gifts.

Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.
