To Love & To Lead: Staff Discussions

Posted on Jul 20, 2016 by Wes Hilliard

In Mark 11:17 after Jesus has cleansed the temple, he cries out, “Is it not written:  My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations?!”  In times like these, we, the people of God, must do the most powerful and effective thing we can possibly do – PRAY!  We must return to the Source of our LIFE, FAITH, HOPE and LOVE – Jesus the Messiah.  We are so privileged to GET to do this!  In HIM we have everything we need!  All the direction, all the protection, all the power, all the revelation, all the healing, all the love and forgiveness, all the signs, wonders and miracles!

Who will help us address and defeat the radical Islamic terrorism coming against our world?  JESUS!

Who will provide the balm to heal the racial wounds bleeding so profusely in our nation?  JESUS!

Who will show us the way forward in dealing with the acts of defiance/disobedience in the UMC against the Bible and The United Methodist Book of Discipline?  JESUS!

Who will lead us in igniting revival in the church of the River Valley leading to a massive spiritual awakening of the lost in our area?  JESUS!

He is leading us to cleanse the clutter of His temple (“Do you not know that you are the temple of the Holy Spirit …?”   1 Cor. 16:19) – to get rid of the things that rob you and distract you from coming into the LORD’s presence and giving Him your full attention.  He is calling us to INTENTIONALLY make sure His House at Heritage is a House of Prayer for ALL nations – all races, ethnicities, and cultures.  Only such a church will have the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8) to be His witnesses.  Only through such a church will Jesus work His miracles of salvation, deliverance, and healing!  Jesus is the HOPE of the world!  We, the people of Jesus, are the body of the Messiah.  As we allow Him to live His Life through us, we, the church, become the HOPE OF THE WORLD!

Let’s go!  The world is groaning in anticipation of the revealing of the children of God  (Rom. 8:19)!  Stand up!  Stand up, for Jesus!

Full of Hope in what Jesus is about to do in and through us …
