To Love & To Lead: Staff Discussions

My top five talents/themes in the Gallop StrengthFinders inventory are learner, developer, believer, includer, and maximizer.  This is how God has “wired” me.  I love to learn, to develop others, to ground myself in foundational beliefs, to make sure people feel included and to go for excellence in all things.  It is no wonder that I love all aspects of disciple-making!

Early on in ministry, the LORD put on my heart the Biblical goal of full-maturity in Christ.  The Apostle Paul puts it this way,

“to equip His people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. … Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of Him who is the head, that is, Christ.”      Ephesians 4:12-13, 15

The LORD is calling us to help one another GROW UP in JESUS … to learn to love God, others, and ourselves as He does.  This is disciple-making and these are the kind of disciples we are trying to become and to make.  Won’t you join us in this grand adventure of becoming like Jesus and helping others to do the same?  This is how we fulfill God’s vision for the Church, the Body of Christ, to make the presence of Jesus real to the world around us!   Jesus is going to the people of our region to save, deliver, and heal.  Let us join Him!

See you Sunday as we discuss how we can fulfill our mission from God to GROW!

P.S.  If you want to find out your Strengths, join our next S.H.A.P.E.S. Class that begins Sunday at 9:30 a.m. with Pastor Ron Lewis in room 121.  You will discover how you are SHAPED for significance in God’s Kingdom.
